Diagonal Zero tower
Diagonal Zero tower, designed by the Catalan architecture firm EMBA has just been opened this July. It promises to be one of the most outstanding additions to Barcelona´s skyline, shedding the image of conventional skyscrapers and becoming a landmark in itself. Located opposite Barcelona´s Forum by Herzog and de Meuron, the building features a white irregular grid-like outer structure, allowing light to flow freely. It lacks the ¨heavy¨ feeling of most corporate buildings transmitting transparency and an almost ethereal quality achieved by a smart juxtaposition of materials. Diagonal Zero tower is bold , eye-catching and in architectural terms, what corporate chic is all about.
